Chakotah in 2011 had a son win four Judges Choice awards, (Pucara) Chakotah's Wyuna, and a daughter, Buzz n Hum Layla who won GWAS 2011 Judges Choice. Chakotah ALSO won the Nationals and GWAS Get classes with our Pucara Kahuna, his grandfather, in second both times. His cria won championships and ribbons in many shows all over the country.

When we first started our alpaca farm here in the US the first sale we made of our own suris was to Ann and Bill Rogers at CCR Alpacas.

We asked Ann and Bill if they would let us know when one of those girl's, Kalina, had her cria and we would consider purchasing it. As it turned out they decided to send Kalina along with several of our own females to be bred to Moon River's Durango, at our sincere urging!!! Jude and I adored Durango. He was a stand out in the show ring winning a championship in all his shows but more importantly to us he had exquisite genetics. Those breedings produced two national Champions for us and several ribbon winners.

When Kalina gave birth Ann excitedly called us and raved about the cria. Well we know owners get a bit barn blind about their animals so we asked for pics....man oh man, he looked fabulous. We visited CCR Alpacas soon thereafter and purchased a half share of this boy, Chakotah....at two months of age!!! It's insane, the first time we have been so bold but in the flesh he even looked better than the pics.

The Kahuna daughter, Kalina, had produced a knockout cria.

Chakotah's performance in the show ring has been exemplary. He exhibits extreme greasy luster, super silky handle, density in thick well defined locks from one end of his sturdy frame to the other and fineness. Wyuna's Cristal of PVA is a stunning beige female from the famous herdsire Chakota's Wyuna and dam, Chablis of PVA. Cristal is following in her famous parents footsteps. She won Best Head at the 2014 IAO show as a fourth generation winner on her dam's side. Her genetics are a who's who in the suri alpaca world: Wyuna, Chakotah, Kahuna, Durango, Balboa, Macgyver, Bruxo, Kobe, Mahogony Prince, Chablis, Syrah of PVA. Cristal's fleece exhibits beautiful independent lock structure with great luster and long staple length. She ranks in the top 1% in the 2017 EPDs for low percentage of medullated fiber. Although she is average in fineness, her low medullation and SD give her a very soft hand. Cristal's stylish frame is well balanced and conformationally correct. This lovely female's genetic prepotence is indisputable. Cristal's dam, Chablis of PVA, is a 4th generation Champion, receiving a 1st and Reserve Color Champion at the 2010 GWAS Show and a 3rd generation Best Head Winner at the 2011 IAO. Chablis dam, Syrah of PVA is the 2006 IAO Color Champion, Best Head and Supreme Champion for suri females. Cristal's full brother, Wynn, a light brown male at a year older, took 2013 IAO Color Champion, Supreme Champion and Best Head, along with a Reserve Color Champion at the 2013 Futurity. Cristal's half-sister, Princess Wynona of PVA, also took Color Champion and Supreme Champion at the 2013 IAO, along with two Reserve Color Champion awards at the 2013 MAPACA and CABA shows. Cristal's first cria is a gorgeous dark fawn female out of Chakotah, born in June, 2016. With beautiful, twisty dense Suri locks and the brightest luster, Bronze Babei is a show stopper. She placed third at the 2017 AOA Nationals in a very competitive class. Cristal's second cria, out of Josef, is a stunningly big boy...26 lbs, born in August 2017. Full of lusterous fiber, he is a looker. Cristal is priced to sell as we need to reduce our foundation female herd.

Royale Bronze Babei is an exquisite young female who represents the best of suri genetics: Chakota, Durango, Kahuna, Kobe, MacGyver and Chablis of PVA to name a few. Her dam is Wyuna's Cristal of PVA and her sire is multi-champion Chakota of CCRs Suris.

These champion genetics, including a fabulous line breed of Chakota and Durango, have produced a stunning female with dense, fine fiber on a solid frame. Her dense, long, lustrous suri locks are absolutely stunning. Babei placed third in a competitive class of six at the 2017 Nationals Show. She is truly a show girl with a gentle, friendly personality.

Babei was S.H.I.P. classified in 2018 by Cheryl Gehly as a two year old. Her conformation scores were a perfect 5 in six of the eight conformation traits. Her fiber scores were also very good with a 4 for fineness and fleece phenotype, a perfect 5 for uniformity of color and, 3.5 for lock structure, and 3 for uniformity of micron and density.

We are motivated to move this female to a good breeding program as she is too related to our color herdsire and will consider any reasonable offer.
